NAVIGATION DUCKING
Navigation Ducking is a smart convenience feature that automatically reduces the system’s volume when a navigation prompt is detected. Whether you’re using OEM or aftermarket navigation, this setting ensures that voice directions remain clear and intelligible—without having to manually adjust your system’s volume every time.
When enabled, DNA will temporarily attenuate selected output channels the moment a navigation audio signal is detected, then automatically return them to their original level after the prompt ends. Users can define how much the volume drops (in dB) and which channels are affected. For example, you might duck only the front stage or center channel, leaving rear passengers unaffected.
This feature is ideal for daily drivers where turn-by-turn clarity is essential but system performance and tuning integrity are still a priority. Ducking settings are stored per preset, allowing different levels or behaviors depending on source input, driving scenario, or user preference.
Navigation Ducking is especially useful when paired with Maestro OEM integration or other systems where navigation audio is routed separately. It’s a small feature with a big quality-of-life payoff—helping your system stay smart, seamless, and driver-friendly.
