VU SIGNAL METERS
The VU Signal Meter panel in ARC Audio’s DNA software is a critical diagnostic and visualization tool that provides full-spectrum, real-time feedback of your signal path—from input all the way to output. Designed for audio pros, advanced tuners, and installers alike, this tool helps eliminate guesswork and ensures every part of your system is performing exactly as intended.
Each signal path is broken into four key stages:
Input – See what’s physically reaching your DSP from analog or digital sources. The meters reflect real-time signal strength based on input sensitivity—making it perfect for verifying summing from OEM sources or confirming signal presence from RCAs or coaxial inputs.
Post-Mixer – Validate your signal routing between input and output channels. This lets you confirm that your mixer settings are sending signal exactly where it’s needed—before any processing is applied.
Post-EQ – Visually assess the effects of your EQ tuning. Quickly catch unwanted peaks or clipping caused by excessive EQ gain on any channel.
Output – Confirms that your final, processed signal is present and exiting the DSP to the next stage of your system.
Each meter is color-coded—Green, Yellow, Orange, Red—for instant level recognition, and the panel supports both vertical and horizontal layouts with full dynamic scaling. View only the channels you need, name them to match speaker locations, and drag the window to fit any screen size.
