The ARC Audio AS250 is a high-performance 2.5" wideband midrange driver designed for serious sound systems where space is limited but sound quality can’t be compromised. Whether used in a compact 2-way front stage with a midbass or as part of a 3-way active system, the AS250 delivers clean, articulate midrange performance and extended frequency response from a remarkably compact package.

Its stamped steel chassis features a low 1.38-inch mounting depth and breakaway mounting tabs, allowing seamless integration into factory locations or tight custom installs. At the heart of the design is a Y35 ferrite magnet paired with a 21mm CCAW voice coil on a Kapton former—engineered to deliver transient accuracy, efficient cooling, and resistance to power compression in real-world use.

The proprietary cone blend of aramid fiber, coconut fiber, and extracted pulp offers the ideal combination of stiffness and low mass, allowing the AS250 to maintain tonal balance and low distortion even under dynamic playback. A low-shore rubber surround and progressive Nomex spider ensure consistent mechanical control throughout the driver's range.

The AS250’s wide bandwidth makes it suitable for use without a tweeter in some DSP-controlled systems—especially in designs that follow the architecture of many modern OEM audio systems. And for users who want extended top-end air and sparkle, the AS250 pairs naturally with the AS100 tweeter in fully active 3-way configurations.
