DSP TUNING & SETUP
SOFTWARE FEATURES

PRESET SETTINGS

The Preset Settings panel in ARC Audio’s DNA DSP software gives users extensive control over each saved tuning configuration. This sub panel within the Settings tab goes beyond simple preset switching—allowing custom labeling, security, and dynamic interaction between multiple sources and system behaviors.

At the top of this panel, users can rename each preset and assign custom font colors for easy visual reference, both within the app and on ARC controllers like the PSC.

Both Input Channels and Output Channels can be renamed with meaningful labels to reflect function, speaker location, or amplifier assignments. These names carry through across all relevant tuning windows, making the tuning experience intuitive and streamlined. Font color customization further enhances clarity for complex multi-channel systems.

The powerful Navigation Ducking feature—exclusive to ARC Audio DSPs—enables seamless integration between multiple input sources. For example, you can enjoy audiophile-grade playback from a high-res digital media player while still receiving navigation prompts or phone call audio from the OEM head unit, without manual switching. It’s a truly OEM-plus experience.

Security options offer three levels of protection—Protected, Restricted, and Enforced—to guard tuning work from unintended changes. Whether you're a shop protecting your work or an enthusiast locking out guests, DNA’s security system has you covered.

Additional tools in this panel include:

  • Upmixer Activation for multichannel spatial algorithms

  • ADC Filter Mode selection to tailor input converter characteristics (think: tube vs solid state feel)

  • Noise Gate control to eliminate unwanted low-level hiss during silence

Together, these features make the Preset Settings panel a central tool for installers, tuners, and advanced users to personalize and safeguard every system preset.
